Dermophthalmology is a newly coined scientific term that describes the intersection of dermatology (eyelid skin or ophthalmoderma) and ophthalmology (eye health).
It is a new scientific field that connects two critical areas:<\/p>

The skin of the eyelids or ophthalmoderma
And the eyes as an organ<\/p>

Why is this important? Because many eye problems originate at the base of the eyelashes and the meibomian glands \u2013 and not from the eyeball itself.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
